Introducing DPS - Mississippi Farm
1 July 2005 - High Springs, Fla. - Dairy Production Systems, LLC announced today the purchase of Aurora Dairy - Mississippi making it the third addition to the DPS - owned family.
The farm, now known as DPS - Mississippi, was transferred to full ownership to David P. Sumrall after the buy-out of the remaining shares owned by Marcus B. Peperzak.
The addition of the Mississippi farm not only excites the Dairy Production Systems CEO because it expands his companies, but also for personal reasons. "I have lived and worked all over the country in this wonderful career of dairy farming," Sumrall said, "but no matter where I have roamed, Mississippi has always been home." A graduate of Mississippi State University, Sumrall grew up on the family farm near Crystal Springs, MS. Ironically, the newest farm in the DPS system is only "15 or so miles away as the crow flies," Sumrall said. "It is a wonderful feeling to have completed this latest development and to have a 'piece of home' in the business."
